It’s never too early to start plotting your exhibition to-see list for the year, notes Dazed, which spotlights 10 of 2026’s hottest photography shows, spanning London, Paris, Beijing and beyond. Kicking off the year is “Hard Copy New York,” an expanded iteration of curator Aaron Stern’s ongoing project exploring the contemporary use of the photocopied image (Jan. 29-May 4), featuring work by Thomas Ruff’s reappropriated nudes from the 1990s, Stephen Shore’s portraits of Andy Warhol, and a 50-foot-long mural by Gray Sorrenti.   Read the full Story >>

Projections: Four Who Have Witnessed the War in Ukraine, Tonight and Tomorrow

Tonight and tomorrow night, Jan. 20 and 21, there will be a special Projections event featuring four photographers who have covered the war in Ukraine: This evening, Spanish photojournalist Manu Brabo and LA-based documentary photographer Mark Edward Harris will present work and discuss their experiences; on Wednesday evening, Kyiv-based photographer Olena Morozova and photographer-turned-soldier Oleg Petrasiuk will discuss their work. Books: After 70 Years, Henri Cartier-Bresson's 'The Europeans" Is Being Reissued

For the first time in 70 years. Henri Cartier-Bresson's emblematic book "The Europeans" is being reissued. The book features 114 photographs taken by Cartier-Bresson between 1950 and 1955 across ten countries while on assignment for Harper's Bazaar, Life, Holiday, and Paris Match magazines. Trending: Attacked by ICE, Photographer Passes Off Camera

Minneapolis-based photographer John Abernathy was covering protests at the Whipple Federal building in Minneapolis when, he notes at Instagram, he was “tackled by ice agents and surrounded by about 50 border police. Just for taking photos.” Abernathy then passed his camera to another photographer “to make sure it wouldn’t be confiscated.” Getty Images photographer Pierre Lavie captured the scene in an image going viral across social media.  Leica Rumors says the shot “should be the Leica photograph of the year!”   Read the full Story >>
