Social News: TikTok Creators Can Now Get Paid Up To 90% of Subscription Revenue

TikTok creators stand to make more money thanks to a change in the platform's subscription model. The company announced at TikTok's 2025 U.S. Creator Summit that creators can now earn up to 90 percent of revenue from subscriptions. However, some conditions must be met first. notes Mashable: Creators need to have at least 10,000 followers, earn 100,000 views in the last month, and post 3 or more subscription-only videos in the last month. At 93, the famed fine-art photographer Duane Michals is still breaking new  ground: Art News spotlights an ad campaign that Michals has  shot for Bottega Venata featuring “dreamy black-and-white images” of Frankenstein  actor Jacob Elordi. Industry News: Eastman Kodak Rebrands More Photo Film

Analog photographers rejoiced when Kodak announced the launch of Kodacolor 100 and 200 at the end of September. But, notes PetaPixel, the most interesting part of the announcement was perhaps not the new film at all, but the dramatic shift in how Kodak is selling film. Eastman Kodak is now selling Kodak Gold 200 and Ultramax 400 directly to retailers, with new, retro-inspired packaging. Previously, the company’s film was distributed through a British spinoff company, Kodak Alaris, founded in 2013 after Eastman Kodak’s bankruptcy restructuring.   Read the full Story >>

State of the Art: Stability AI Scores a Win in UK Court Battle Against Getty Images

UK-based artificial intelligence company Stability AI has "mostly prevailed" in a closely watched lawsuit brought by Getty Images, notes Reuters. Getty had accused Stability AI of infringing its copyright and trademark by scraping 12 million images from its website, without permission, to train its popular image generator, Stable Diffusion.
