Crime Blotter: Gerard Depardieu Facies Trial in Rome After Allegedly Hitting Photographer

Following his guilty sentence in a Paris court for sexually assaulting two women during a 2021 film shoot, disgraced French actor Gérard Depardieu is facing a trial in Rome after allegedly punching a paparazzo. The case is due to begin in Rome on June 17, notes Euro News. Depardieu, 76, is charged punching and causing personal injury to Italian photographer Rino Barillari—“the king of paparazzi,” as he is known in Italy outside—outside Harry’s Bar on the Via Veneto in May of last year.   Read the full Story >>
