Albert Watson’s new exhibition at the Palazzo Esposizioni Roma is a stunning yet unexpected view of the Eternal City, notes WWD. The show, “Albert Watson: A Rome Codex (through Aug.3), brings together 200 large-scale black-and-white and color images he made over two years. “I had to just experience Rome. I didn’t want to approach it with preconceived ideas or the pressure of capturing what people expect to see. Art News: Go Inside South Korea's First Public Museum Dedicated to Photography

The recently unveiled Photography Seoul Museum of Art introduces a new cultural presence to the country, notes Design Boom. Located in Seoul’s Dobong-gu district, the museum was designed in collaboration by Austrian firm Jadric Architektur and Korean studio 1990uao Architects and spans six levels — four above ground, two below — totaling 7,048 square meters. The inaugural exhibitions include “The Radiance: Beginnings of Korean Art Photography” and “Storage Story,” which uses photography to reflect on the institution’s formation.   Read the full Story >>

Tech News: Lenovo's Curious Compact Camera, Available Only in China

Chinese company Lenovo is best known for its computers, but now it has unveiled a curious white compact camera that, notes DP Review, promises vlogging-focused features at a very low price ($69). “As its low price point suggests, the Lenovo C55 is not a tour de force of groundbreaking camera technology. The camera features a 64-megapixel Type 1/3 Sony image sensor, which is significantly smaller than the sensors typically found in most smartphones,” adds PetaPixel. Social News: Instagram Isn't Just for Square Photos Anymore

Instagram now supports photos that have a 3:4 aspect ratio, meaning that when you upload a photo with that ratio, “it’ll now appear just exactly as you shot it,” Instagram head Adam Mosseri noted in a Threads post. He added that “almost every phone camera defaults to” that format. You can already post images with a rectangular aspect ratio of 4:5, but with 3:4, your photo won’t be cropped at the ends, notes The Verge. 3:4 photos are supported with single-photo uploads and with carousels.   Read the full Story >>
