French photographer Zélie Hallosserie, whose work documents the urgent realities of immigrant life in Europe, has been named the inaugural winner of the Saltzman-Leibovitz Photography Prize. The 21-year-old artist, who will receive $10,000, is currently completing her bachelor’s degree in photography at ESA Saint-Luc Tournai in Belgium, notes Artsy. The prize was launched by photographer Annie Leibovitz and New York–based photographer Lisa Saltzman. Shortlisted artists were selected from a mentorship program run by Leibovitz.

Continued uncertainty over US tariffs have left many brands unable to confirm whether the new import taxes will impact pricing, but in an earnings call with investors, Canon Inc. has confirmed that the ongoing trade will impact prices in the country. However, notes Digital Camera World, Canon says that it is still evaluating the details, including the amount and timing of such an increase. “We have notified major dealers that we will raise prices and are in the process of estimating the timing and amount of the increase,” noted Canon.
