Photographs have become a target for scammers, and in a new video YouTuber Justin Mott tells the story of “a wild and terrifying scam that entrapped two photographers in Indonesia, based on a first-hand account from a close friend.” Known as the "Con Queen of Jakarta," the elaborate con lures creatives with fake high-paying assignments, manipulating them into fronting travel expenses, then escalates to psychological warfare, leaving victims financially and emotionally devastated, Mott notes.

Somewhat reductively, Crain’s New York Business recently reported that a noted “dog photographer” was parting with his longtime Manhattan studio. The photographer, William Wegman, is the artist whose images of Weimaraners make humorously subversive commentary on human behavior. The New York Times notes that Wegman is asking $16.5 million for his “fortresslike” studio and home on 18th Street. He and his wife Christine Burgin, and their Weimaraner Flo are moving permanently to the country house and studio they own in Ghent, N.Y.
