This week we learned that Apple is acquiring Pixelmater, the Lithuania-based firm that makes popular Mac-based photo editing tools. Pixelmator said in a statement that there will be "no material changes to the Pixelmator Pro, Pixelmator for iOS, and Photomator apps at this time," but to stay tuned "for exciting updates to come." Real Estate News: Wegman Is Asking $16.5 Million for His Chelsea Home and Studio

Somewhat reductively, Crain’s New York Business recently reported that a noted “dog photographer” was parting with his longtime Manhattan studio. The photographer, William Wegman, is the artist whose images of Weimaraners make humorously subversive commentary  on human behavior. The New York Times notes that Wegman is asking $16.5 million for his “fortresslike” studio and home on 18th Street.
