Move over, Microsoft and Apple—the stock market has a new king. So notes The New York Times, which reports that chip maker Nvidia has leapfrogged two of tech’s most storied names to become the world’s most valuable public company. Just two years ago, the company’s market valuation was a little over $400 billion. Now, in the span of a year, it has gone from $1 trillion to more than $3 trillion. Nvidia’s rise been powered by the boom in generative artificial intelligence and surging demand for the company’s chips — known as graphics processing units, or GPUs — which have made it possible to create A.I. systems.

With the ruling Conservative party facing a potential electoral drubbing in the UK, The Guardian asked 12 prominent photographers — from Martin Parr and Nick Waplington to Liz Johnson, Katherine Anne Rose, Laura Pannack, Craig Easton and others—to offer images that sum up the Tory’s 14 years in power. “Taking photographs over the years, I think we’ve become unhappier. The other thing it has been hard for me not to notice is the oligarchs,” notes society photographer Dafydd Jones.

There’s good news for film photography fans: Fujifilm has announced the restart of production for two popular films, C200 and C400. The news comes after growing concerns that the company might be phasing out still film production as it focuses on Instax instant film, notes DIY Photography. The films will be produced at a facility in Nanning, China, in Guangxi province, by Yes!Star, a company with experience in manufacturing medical films for Fujifilm. Social media posts hint at production using traditional clear plastic canisters associated with Fujifilm film.
