Colorado-based wedding photographer Suzanne Nevill is set to be sentenced after pleading guilty to felony theft after scamming couples and associates, notes CBS News. Nevill had been accused of withholding payments to other photographers and not delivering images to couples. Nevill was charged with eight counts of felony theft and pleaded guilty to one class five felony in January; her plea agreement stipulates that she will pay nearly $40,000 in restitution and serve a four-year deferred sentence.   Read the full Story >>

Books: The Compelling Photography of Burt Glinn

Born in Pittsburgh in 1925, Burt Glinn served in the US Army during the Second World War, then enrolled at Harvard to study literature. He also became a photographer and photo editor at the Harvard Crimson, which put him on a new path. By 1950 he was a staff photographer for Life magazine, and in 1951 he joined Magnum. A new book, Burt Glinn: Half a Century as a Magnum Photographer, celebrates the “compelling, elegant and expressive ways Glinn experienced the world through photography,” notes Blind.   Read the full Story >>
