Books: Sebastiao Salgado Looks at 'Amazonia'

Sebastião Salgado, who once studied economics, spent much of his first act as a photographer recording the tail end of a global industrial revolution —  the goldrush in Brazil, the oil fires in Kuwait, the famine in Ethiopia. He has devoted his second to capturing what could yet be lost should urbanization, rampant consumption, climate change and societal indifference go unchecked, notes CNN. Deep into his seventies, Salgado is not letting up: His newest book, Amazonia, focuses on Brazil's greatest treasure.
