A birth. A protest. A flying dog. A family of surfers.

Those are the subjects of just a few of the images shortlisted in the American Photographer Open 2020 contest. Now you can view all the shortlisted photographers and vote for your favorites.

The AP Open 2020 competition was launched last March. The contest is open to photographers at every level shooting with any kind of device. Through the contest’s deadline on August 31, our judges have been looking at entries from all around the world. It was both an arduous and thrilling task, because of the uniform excellence of the work submitted. But in the end the entries were winnowed down to a shortlist of 50.

And now it’s your turn. Voting for your favorites is easy. Just “Like” the images you admire. You can vote for as many as you’d like. The image with the most votes will win a portable SSD from SanDisk and three runner ups will receive a copy of this years' Open wiinners' book.  Vote now!
