Exhibitions: Iran Through Lens of Its Best Photographers

With tensions mounting between the U.S. and Iran, The Washington Post looks at an exhibition at Boston’s Museum of Fine Arts featuring work by by Bahman Jalali (1944–2010) and Gohar Dashti (b. 1980), two Iranian artists from different generations who both bring imagination to documentary work. (The exhibition, “Reimagining Home,” runs through July 12.) Both photographers “address war, displacement and the ringing dissonance of their country’s modern history,” notes art critic Sebastian Smee.
