In Focus: 5 Female Photographers On Shooting the Bushfire Crisis

Last week we spotlighted photographs documenting Australia’s bushfire crisis. Now Elle magazine speaks with five female photojournalists who have been “battling flames and ash and fire tornados on the ground” to capture images of the fires: Michaela Skovranova (National Geographic); Kate Geraghty (Sydney Morning Herald); Jessica Hromas (The Guardian); Cassie Trotter (Getty Images); and freelancer Tracey Nearmy, who says,  “The scale and magnitude of the crisis is overwhelming and covering it requires strategy and planning.”
