Call For Entries: American Photography 36

By David Schonauer   Monday December 9, 2019

It’s time to “Think_Postive.”

That’s the theme of the American Photography 36 annual, which is now accepting entries. The deadline is January 24, 2020.

Entries are also being accepted for the International Motion Art Awards 8 competition and the American Illustration 39 competition.

The American Photography annual is a premier showcase for the best work by professional photographers. When you enter, your work is seen by the AP editors and a jury made up exclusively of top creative professionals who assign and utilize photography and illustration, including art directors, designers, photo editors, art buyers, curators, editors and publishers. All entrants receive free subscriptions to the AI-AP newsletters, including Pro Photo Daily and DART: Design Arts Daily.

Entrants also receive a 53-percent discount off the annual when making their submission. AI-AP entrants and winners also receive an invitation with a discount ticket to attend The Party, the annual event in November that celebrates the winners and the new AI-AP books.

The winning images are presented in a preliminary slide show announcement to our 50,000 subscribers and are posted permanently on our online archive with artist’s contact info, complete captions and creative credits. Selected winners are presented in the oversized, hardcover annual book, luxuriously printed one image per page.

All photographers, creative professionals, publishers, agencies, representatives, students and teachers of photography of any nationality living, working or studying in North American (U.S. and Canada) with work created or published anywhere for any purpose, are eligible. International photographers living abroad who have North American citizenship or representation or have been published or exhibited in North America are also eligible.

Meanwhile, you can order a copy of the AP 35 annual (at top), which is fresh off the printing press. You can also see AP 35 winners at The Archive.
