In Focus: Sian Davey On Mental Health and Poverty

Photography Siân Davey, known for her work documenting her own children, as well as tender reflections on the intimate relationships among families and groups of young people, has been selected for the Wellcome Photography Prize commission for a project exploring connections between poverty and mental health issues, notes the British Journal of Photography. The project is informed by Davey’s background — both her professional psychotherapeutic experience and a childhood experience of homelessness.
