Books: Lou Jones's "panAfrica Project" Offers a New Perspective

For the past several years, Boston-based commercial and editorial photographer Lou Jones has been working on an ambitious personal series he calls the “panAfrica Project,” aiming to portray African countries in a way that, he says, is “devoid of the preconceived, western notions of distress: conflict, pestilence and poverty.” Jones, who is also known for his prose-poems (see our 2016 profile), is now launching Volume 1 of a panAfrica Project book via Kickstarter. The book focuses on Ghana, Tanzania, Swaziland and Lesotho.
