Books: Harley Weir Trades Bodies for "Paintings"

Fashion photographer Harley Weir has stoked controversy with an up-skirt Calvin Klein  advertising image and fetishized Balenciaga. But you won’t find any body parts — any people at all — in her newest book, Paintings. “By removing the presence of people from her images, these photographs show an abstract inspired side to Weir,

delicately embracing the simplistic components of an image, capturing form, color, and movement,” declares Dazed. “I do think that my work can be overly sexualized at times,” Weir says.
