Screening Room: An Animated Look at Life Under ISIS

In January 2014 a new Jihadist group swept through Syria and set up its capital in Raqqa, in the east of the country. The group, calling itself the Islamic State, or ISIS, has become notorious for its brutality and destruction. For several months, BBC Radio correspondent, Mike Thomson has been in sporadic contact with an activist based in Raqqa who has been living under ISIS rule; the short animated documentary Life Inside Islamic State, from London-based animator Scott Coello, visualizes the activist's diary.
