A boy in the subway. October 2010. These portraits are part of tours of different parts of my country Colombia and NYC. Walking you can meet people and places face to face, take a look with detail and interact. All these photos are looking to say something true about the gesture of people that maybe we see in the streets and we ignore them, but behind those unknow faces there are stories absolutely interesting. Ralhp Souffrant, I meet him a the NYC Subway, I saw his face and I was inmediately attracted for the strong of his skin. I ask him for a photo and he said yes, later he told me, Im a model, and I told him-I believe you. He went away, no time for sharing contacts, that was last year, a couple of weeks ago, I just found him again, in a city of 8,4 Million of habitans. He is a model and his skin, something that maybe use to be a problem, today is the way he go against the struugle of life.

Mythological Creature. June 2015. These portraits are part of tours of different parts of my country and NYC. They are all looking to say something true about the gesture and the human condition in people that maybe we see in the streets and we ignore them. I found thts kid walking the road to a fisherman Town called Taganga in Santa Marta, Colombia. So much sun and arid mountain, from there you can see the whole city, also is a very economic depressed neighbohood, with a dangerous reputation. In a place like this you can find a kid playing with his parrot, and under the sun you find some caribbean essence.
