Pirapo, Seijin-shiki, These images are part of an continuing exploration of the socio-cultural issues within the Japanese population in Paraguay. Growing up under the same circumstances, a Japanese person born and raised in Paraguay, has forced me to question the importance of our innate, cultural identity as new generations are born and old ones pass away. This body of work continues to expand as I try to define what exactly is cultural individuality in a world going through rapid globalization.
