These images are part of a story I pitched on Lanzarote to Ensemble’s Range magazine, documenting the island and its culture through the lens of architect César Manrique’s designs and philosophy. His vision, rooted in conservation, ecological responsibility, and a radical integration of architecture with the natural landscape, forms the backbone of the narrative. More than 30 years on, Manrique’s ideas feel not only enduring, but increasingly relevant.
