Passengers head out to the S.A. Agulhas II to begin their journey back to Cape Town, South Africa, after spending two weeks on the island. Calshot Harbour, built in the late ‘60s, is Tristan’s lifeline to the outside world, providing the only way for people and supplies to reach the island. Yet the harbour is too small to accommodate ships, so passengers and cargo are ferried between shore and vessel on motorized rafts.
