In New York City, I began noticing a distinctive style of e-bike—decorated with ethno-thematic colors, often (but not exclusively) inspired by North, Central, and South America—strikingly beautiful and clearly patriotic. When we customize personal items it’s an exhibition of love and self worth. When those themes represent our place of origin, it is patriotism. Despite the current changes in the federal government’s outlook on immigrants, the U.S. will continue to be a land built by immigrants that choose to proudly represent their country of origin. Individual patriotism, from any origin, will endure beyond an administration's rhetoric.
