Gabriel Villareal, known professionally as Delta Work, photographed at home in Southeast Los Angeles. Villareal, a former contestant on RuPaul's Drag Race was awarded an Emmy for outstanding hairstyling in the show's 10th season.

Mexican-born photographer Reynaldo Rivera photographed in his East LA home for Alta Journal. Rivera’s large (and largely unseen) body of photographic work captures Latin queer life and the club and house party scene in the 1980s and 1990s, chronicling a version of Los Angeles that has all but disappeared. Rivera’s work has recently surfaced in exhibits at LA’s Hammer Museum and The Huntington.
