A man throws wheat into the fire to chase away evil spirits on the day of Tukhm Rezi, Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan. Fault Lines. Gilgit-Baltistan in northern Pakistan is a territory far removed from modernity and a region of mosaic cultures, religions and languages that exists among the highest mountain peaks in the world. Amidst the many breathtaking valleys in the region, the inhabitants preserve and cherish their traditions, cuisine, and celebrations.
