The first ever U.S. Hobby Horse Championships took place in a middle school gymnasium in Almont, Michigan. For many hobby horse athletes, the sport is an extension of their love for horse riding. For others, due to financial hurdles, hobby horsing is the closest thing they can get to horse riding.
