In April 2024 college campuses around the world setup campsites in solidarity with displaced Palestinians in Gaza. The night of April 30 2024 one such group at UCLA was violently attacked by counterprotestors. Fireworks, bear spray, pipes, and planks flew for nearly 5 hours before police intervened.
