Cecilia Gentili’s Funeral
Cecilia Gentili, a prominent American advocate for the rights of transgender people and sex workers, passed away in February 2024. Her funeral was held at St. Patrick’s Cathedral in New York City. She is believed to be the first transgender woman to have had a funeral at that church. This image was part of an assignment for TIME Magazine.
