The beaches in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan hold a hidden secret: glowing rocks known as ’Yooperlites.’ The name comes from the moniker for residents of the Upper Peninsula who call themselves ’Yoopers.’ When UV light is cast on the rocks, they glow from within.
