BUFS. December 2022. A sign featuring a woman who could have been a Ronette, or a Vandella sits askew in an abandoned beauty shop along a side street in Clarksdale, Mississippi.
In photographing the Delta, I observed and captured the socio-economical and psychological challenges of the local people and their battles with natural hardships. My photographs strive to weave an account of the people of the Delta through the changes and challenges of the American South.
