"Simply Jane"
I’ve always photographed people. I realised early in my photographic career that I have an extraordinary visual memory for faces. No matter how much faces are altered by make-up, prosthetics, or age, I can usually identify them. In this photo, I chose Jane, who was unadorned and unselfconscious as she patiently waited for my studio assistants to adjust the lights.
