Atascosa Borderlands

Atascosa Borderlands is a community-based visual storytelling project created by documentary photographer Luke Swenson and naturalist/writer Jack Dash. Since 2017, Atascosa Borderlands has examined the nuanced realities of this part of the Arizona-Sonora Borderlands alongside cattle ranchers, ecologists, humanitarian aid workers, migrants, militia members, coues deer hunters, ex-border patrol agents, and indigenous community members.
