Trona High School Death Valley. Brotherhood. September 2021. The high school football team in the Trona, California practice and play on a arid dirt field. They call it "The Pit" and themselves "Sandmen". Funding makes grass impossible, yet the community and administration take so much pride in the field they wouldn't have it any other way regardless.
