Brueghel's Breakfast. September 2020. The Eurocentric still life tradition has long appropriated from cultures considered “exotic”. This on-going fine art series reclaims space in the still life tradition by infusing the practice with Asian American cultural experiences, both from my upbringing and featuring Asian American small businesses and creators. "Brueghel's Breakfast" features treats from Cambodian-owned DK's Donuts in Los Angeles, CA.
