The Porsche Taycan, Porsche Cars North America. November 2020. In 1972, NASA astronaut Charlie Duke drove an all-electric lunar rover on the surface of the moon. Thirty eight years later, Duke first drove an all-electric car on Earth, when he piloted the Porsche Taycan Turbo S in New Braunfels, Texas.
