The Longest Year 2020+: Dreamscape NYC. SoHo, New York City. June 2020. On May 25th, when Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin killed George Floyd, an unarmed Black man, by kneeling on his neck, a cellphone video of the incident went viral. Protests erupted across the U.S. and abroad. Months of COVID-19 lockdown helped fuel the rage that rolled through cities all summer long.
