Voices from the Aisles. December 2020. Grocery workers have made great sacrifices to keep the nation fed during the pandemic. But reports abounded of some workers receiving spotty hazard pay and being attacked by anti-maskers. This project, which combines portraits with grocery bags, asks “What does it really mean to be ‘essential’?”
