"Retracing" from the series Collapse.
Retracing. June 2020. From my personal series COLLAPSE, which imagines the aftermath of an unnamed apocalyptic event. Based in part on the collapse of the Iron Age—which itself resulted from a combination of political uprisings, trade routes cut off, and most sobering, a plague, COLLAPSE has an uneasy kinship to our own dystopian present. And like the coronavirus pandemic, during which the series was photographed, it shows how vulnerable we are despite our modernity.
