About 60 million people put their ballots in a mailbox or a drop box, doubling previous totals and contributing to the highest turnout rate since 1900. In October and November, Dina Litovsky travelled to Florida, Arizona and Pennsylvania – key states in the presidential election – to document the sorting, prepping and tabulating of mail-in ballots that took place in the weeks leading up to Election Day and on Election Day.
