Long Island Rail Road trains pack a train yard on the West Side of Manhattan Friday, Sept. 18, 2020, normally a time when trains would be moving into nearby Penn Station for the afternoon rush if not for a steep decline in ridership as the COVID-19 pandemic continued to alter everyday scenes we were accustomed to.
