The studios, neighborhoods, producers, managers and strip clubs all play a vital role in the burgeoning genre’s ecosystem. Built on the foundation of long established rap artists and labels in the city there’s a culture and system in Atlanta that has caused the creative explosion of Trap music. Furthermore the reach of trap music is now felt internationally and undeniably powerful in the capitalism of the music industry. As the trap machine continues to develop new artists at a phenomenal rate there’s a constant push and pull between authenticity and street credibility and the marketability of an increasingly popular genre in pop culture.
