Study of a Woman. January 2019. From the series Gaslite, a series reflecting on the aftermath of a torrid love affair manufactured on the back of psychological warfare, careful manipulation, and female emotional labor. Images navigate the journey taken on the slow crawl back to the autonomous self, which proves to be as painfully illuminating as it is intoxicating. This personal self-portrait explores the cultural demands made of the female body, societal roles expected of young women, and how the archetypes of femininity function within a toxic relationship.
