Sibel. Modern Women. April 2019. A personal photography series, celebrating women in male-dominated professions. Sibel is originally from Turkey and works in the Naval Construction Force of the United States Navy, AKA the "Seabees" and is a Heavy Equipment Operator, holding 21 separate licenses, one for each she's qualified to operate. She speaks three languages and is putting herself through medical school to become a cardiologist ~ holding strong a 4.0 GPA and is the lead for the battalion sexual assault prevention and response program. In her spare time, she loves dancing, cooking and helping to care for horses. She agreed with little notice to be photographed just two days prior to her latest deployment.
