President Trump’s Visit to Ireland
The Garden of Remembrance, Dublin, Ireland. President Trump’s Visit to Ireland. June 2019. A young Irish woman, Deborah Ezumezu, participates in a protest in Dublin opposing US president Donald Trump’s visit to Ireland. More than 40 groups, political parties, and civil society organisations took part in the protest, co-ordinated under the umbrella group Stop Trump Ireland. The demonstrators stated that President Trump’s policies so not reflect the values of the Irish people. A 6m-tall inflatable Trump baby blimp was raised over the Garden of Remembrance, where protesters gathered for the demonstration. The blimp was on loan from London. Protesters received permission to float the nappy-wearing Trump blimp in the city centre from the Irish Aviation Authority.
