Orthodox Christian Pilgrims, Ethiopia. Silent Light. January 2018. Portraits of Ethiopian Orthodox Christian pilgrims. Their arduous journey to the holy city of Lalibela gives important blessing to their life and fosters a common bond to the sacred. My intention was to highlight the existential nature of this ancient pilgrimage, from darkness into light.
