Roumina and Luca Vellani, Rome, Italy. Dolce Vita for British GQ 1993. My first monograph, "THE UNTAMED EYE" published by MW Editions in 2018, celebrates the early years of my career during the nineties. Cinematic and intimate, fashion and fame, that lives in a world of gritty realism. This image is from a fashion story for British GQ. In Rome late one night we stumble upon a restaurant Dolce Vita, which illustrates the essence of working on location, the unexpected. Our story was inspired by Fellini's film, "La Dolce Vita". Flash, black and white fashion, black and white film, blond, sarcastic glamour.

Keith Richards, The Third Eye for British GQ, 1993. My first monograph, "THE UNTAMED EYE" published by MW Editions in 2018, celebrates the early years of my career during the nineties. Cinematic and intimate, fashion and fame, that lives in a world of gritty realism. This shoot was for British GQ, dedicated to Keith Richards. Slowly up the ramp of Industria Studios in Manhattan comes a long black Cadillac. The man, the rock and roll man, black tattered coat to the floor, smoke, lots of smoke and a, 'how you doin love' sets the tone. The studio becomes a backstage, hot lights, ashtrays, drinks, black Dolce Gabbana, black Nikons. A cool reportage of tales, the way it is and the way it will always be.
