The "Wayfarer" series in "Architecture Minnesota" magazine features Minnesota photographers who capture travel experiences from around the world. The photo ran as a two-page spread in the magazine, along with a short piece I wrote about my experience in one of the world's great cities.
This is a personal photo taken at the Choi Hung (Rainbow) Estate in Hong Kong. This location is often photographed, and I had hoped to get a minimal photo with only one or two people in it, but it was so crowded when we visited that my original idea was not possible. Disappointed, I took a number of photos and left. It was only later, when I was reviewing what I'd shot, that I realized this one frame had captured so many simultaneous activities of a single moment.
