Siblings , Eastern Uganda.

Hasifa Bikobere and her sisters, Kamuli Village, Eastern Uganda. Hasifa & her sisters have slipped quietly into the corner of their Grandfather's room as he lay dying and simply watch in silence. January 2018. A invitation by the UK charity 'Send-a-Cow' to produce a book of photographs for their 30th anniversary in Uganda with some of the families who have worked with the charity, as well on some of it's disability outreach programme's. This picture was made during a visit to such a programme in a remote area of Eastern Uganda. The single mother of these children , Eron , is disabled and receives support from the charity to help her grow her crops, raise her large family , and care for her dying father.

Winfred Masabe nurses her dying father Mr Livingston Nsaawa, at their small home in the village of Kamuli, Eastern Uganda. Livingston Nsaawa is dying at home and is being nursed by his daughter Winfed. January 2018. I was asked by the UK charity 'Send-a-Cow' to produce a book of photographs for their 30th anniversary in Uganda with some of the families who have worked with the charity , as well on some of it's disability outreach programmes. This picture was made during such a visit in a remote area of Eastern Uganda to photograph Eron, a disabled single mom and main provider who was also caring for her dying father at home. Eron invited me into her father's small bedroom to meet him while her sister attended him in his final days .
