Maya Rudolph, in a painting by Vanessa Prager. September 2018. For our Maya Rudolph cover, we hired the artist Vanessa Prager to paint Rudolph sitting down. We then cut away parts of the painting, and asked the real Rudolph to stick her hand, face, and leg through the openings. The result is a beautiful visual that represents the artistry of Rudolph herself.
