The Black Victorian. May 2017. The lady and abundance - the use of orange peels makes the project especially personal. It's an element that connects me to memories of my maternal grandmother. A visual experiment, designed to examine and explore the absence of Black, female narratives in pivotal cultural and social movements such as the Victorian era.
