I took this photograph during the Women's March on Washington. I spotted a group of female performance artists dressed as grandmothers that were disappointed in their "grandson" Donald Trump. This woman in the group seemed transcendent- she is both young and old; funny and angry; light and dark.

In the summer, I stumbled upon a beach club in Breezy Point, Brooklyn that seemed it was in another era. Some of the women donned fresh up-dos and many of the men had dark tans. The bungalows are passed from generation to generation and the sense of community is strong and unique.
